History of this Caramel Apple Pie
This recipe comes from Arturo’s Mom and is a family favorite! Arturo and his brothers were in FFA growing up, and their chapter would have a pie auction for a fundraiser. This fundraiser was to support the livestock judging team. Each student had a fundraising quota to help pay for the trip to the state livestock judging contest at the end of the season. Whatever value each student’s pie sold for in the pie action went toward their quota. This apple pie was always a high seller, and Arturo and his brothers would argue over who got to make this pie for the annual action.
