Green Bean Salad

This super simple, but delicious Green Bean Salad is perfect for summer. This salad pairs perfectly with anything, chicken, beef or pork and is perfect to take to the next backyard BBQ. This delicious salad is one of our favorite sides during the summer!

 

How to Blanch Green Beans

Blanching green beans is super simple and requires two steps. To begin you place your cleaned beans in a large stock pot of well salted boiling water until they are bright green in color and tender crisp, roughly 2 minutes. Drain and shock in a bowl of ice water to stop from cooking.

What to serve Green Bean Salad with

  • Smoked Brisket
  • Ranch Style Beans and a Beer Can Chicken

Ingredients

  • Dijon mustard
  • Honey
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper
  • Green beans, blanched
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved

Whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.

Combine the green beans, red onion and tomatoes. Toss with the dressing.

Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

Dressing

  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Garlic cloved minced
  • Salt and pepper

Salad

  • 1 lb Green beans blanched
  • 1/2 red onion sliced
  • 1 pint tomoatoes halved

Instructions
 

Dressing

  • Whisk the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Salad

  • Combine the green beans, onion, and tomatoes.
  • Dress the vegetables with the dressing and toss.
