How to Blanch Green Beans
Blanching green beans is super simple and requires two steps. To begin you place your cleaned beans in a large stock pot of well salted boiling water until they are bright green in color and tender crisp, roughly 2 minutes. Drain and shock in a bowl of ice water to stop from cooking.

Ingredients
- Dijon mustard
- Honey
- Olive oil
- Garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper
- Green beans, blanched
- Red onion, sliced
- Cherry tomatoes, halved
Whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
Combine the green beans, red onion and tomatoes. Toss with the dressing.

Dressing
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Garlic cloved minced
- Salt and pepper
Salad
- 1 lb Green beans blanched
- 1/2 red onion sliced
- 1 pint tomoatoes halved
Instructions
Dressing
- Whisk the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Salad
- Combine the green beans, onion, and tomatoes.
- Dress the vegetables with the dressing and toss.
