What is the difference between baby back ribs and short ribs?
Baby back ribs come from the back loin section and are smaller and more tender, which is better for smoking. Short ribs are thicker and tend to sit on top of the bones. They have a lot of fat, marbling, and connective tissue and are better braised. Both ribs are best cooked low and slow.
What is the best temperature to smoke your baby back beef ribs?
We have found that 250 is the perfect temp to smoking beef ribs.
How long do you smoke baby back beef ribs for?
Two to three hours is the perfect time.
What is the best method in preparing your baby back beef ribs for the smoker?
We prefer to slather our ribs in yellow mustard and then season with our signature Grill Seasoning.

How to Smoke Baby Back Beef Ribs
Ingredients
Yellow Mustard
Pacheco Beef Grill Seasoning
Pacheco Beef Baby Back Beef Ribs
Instructions
If your beef ribs still have the cap and silver skin, remove them with a filet knife.
Slather the ribs in mustard and coat liberally with Grill Seasoning. Return them to the refrigerator to rest for a couple of hours before putting them on the smoker.
Preheat your smoker to 250.
Place the ribs on the rack meat side up, and maintain the internal temperature of your smoker to 250 for two to three hours until the meat pulls away from the bone.
Remove from smoker and wrap in foil. Let rest for 10 -15 minutes.
