Tip for Easy Cornbread in a Cast Iron Skillet
I like to preheat my cast-iron skillet in the oven before adding the batter. To do this, I place the skillet in the oven while preheating it. Once the oven is preheated, I pull the preheated skillet out and put about a tablespoon of butter in the hot skillet. Then, I place the cornbread batter in the skillet.

What We Pair the Cornbread
We love to eat cornbread with chilies, soups, and some cornbread dressing at our Thanksgiving table. Here are a few of our favorite recipes that we always make a pan of cornbread with, plus my Cornbread Dressing recipe.
